Description
This is a February 1955 calendar page advertising Thompson Products with beautiful graphics by Charles H. Hubbell, depicting the first night flight which happened in 1910 in Montgomery, AL. A Wright biplane was used and flown by Walter Brookins - the Wright's first civilian student. He was later put in charge of instruction at the Wrights winter school after only two hours and forty minutes of flying time! His students included Arch Hoxsey, Ralph Johnstone, Frank Coffyn, Oscar Brindley, T.D. Milling and "Hap" Arnold - all great and historical flyers in their own right. The calendar page measures 25" X 16 1/2". There is additional information on the calendar page and on a card clipped from the back of the calendar.This item is in good vintage condition for its age.
