Original WWII Japanese Currency printed by Japan for use in the Philippine invasion & occupation. Each bill in in peso denomination, and each says "The Japanese Government". Scans show them all. A nice varied collection of 5 and 10 peso denominations, and one 10 centavos bill.
THESE WERE BROUGHT BACK BY A VETERAN OF THE US LIBERATION OF THE PHILLIPINES IN 1945.
A very nice example of something that went through the war, were used, and were associated with the Japanese. THEY ARE ALL PESO (Philippines) DENOMINATIONS, BUT EACH BILL SAYS "THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT" and were printed by them. Show use, AND WERE USED DURING THE WAR, but still is in nice condition.
A nice battlefield souvenir item from the island fighting in the Pacific Theatre during the Allied invasion/liberation of the Philippine Islands. They make excellent collectibles today, as part of any collection or display, currency or WWII military. ESPECIALLY NICE FOR A CHILD TO BEGIN A COLLECTION OF WWII ITEMS !!! A great stocking stuffer !! Would look great framed.
