1949 500 PESOS PHILIPPINE VICTORY NOTE ROXAS GUEVARRA RARE
A stunning, high grade of this highest denomination. This Victory Series denomination had a limited issuance due to extremely high face value. When the Central Bank of the Philippines opened in 1949, the fresh new banknotes from Thomas de la Rue were not prepared, so unused stocks of Victory Series notes were overprinted on the back "Central Bank of the Philippines". Completely fresh, original condition and very rare in this elite grade.
