    1910 Early Aviation PATENT
    Camille BOLLEE invention -
    Aeroplane stabilizer, balance
(translation of first 2 paragraphs provided below)
    Excellent condition
See date stamp on upper right corner: July 27, 1010.
Camille Bollee's older brother was the French automobile manufacturer, Leon Bollee.
From the Henry Ford museum: "Leon befriended Wilbur Wright during Wright's successful demonstration flights near Le Mans in 1908. Bollee offered Wright the use of his factory and mechanics for the duration of the flights."
If you don't read French, you can simply enter the text in Google translate, first two paragraphs:
Divers moyens ont ele employes pour maintenir l'equilibre des aeroplanes, tels, par exemple, que le gauchissement des ailes ou plans de sustentation, ailerons lateraux inclinables a volonte sur l'horizontale pour prendre des angles differents par rapport au vent; on a aussi construit des aeroplanes dont le centre de gravite peut etre deplace, etc.
Various means have been employed to maintain the balance of aeroplanes, such, for example, as the warping of the wings or planes of sustentation, lateral ailerons tilting at will on the horizontal to take different angles with respect to the wind; airplanes have also been built whose center of gravity can be moved, etc.
Le dispositif objet de l'invention a aussi pour but de maintenir l'equilibre des aeroplanes, mais a sur les dispositifs ante rieurement connus l'avantage de pourvoir reagir sur le courant de l'air, quelle qu'en soit la direction, par example au moment d'un glissement de l'aeroplane par le travers.
The object of the invention is also intended to maintain the balance of airplanes, but has the advantage over previously known devices of being able to react on the current of air, whatever its direction. , for example when the airplane slides abeam.
